Marrakesh is a city that weaves together history and modernity in its bustling streets, ornate palaces, and lively souks. Delight your taste buds with the art of preparing Moroccan delicacies during an authentic cooking class, and let the rhythm of traditional music resonate in your soul as we explore the markets and homes of the streets and neighborhoods.

  • An unforgettable 3-day trek into the Sahara Desert through the mesmerizing dunes of Erg Chebbi supported by camels. We will experience star-studded nights under the vast desert sky and engage in heartfelt conversations with the resilient nomadic communities, gaining insights into their time-honored way of life.

  • The majestic Atlas Mountains landscape shifts to reveal picturesque trails and charming villages. Immersing ourselves in Berber culture, participating in traditional music and dance workshops, and savoring a heartwarming Berber feast shared with newfound friends.

  • At the Woman’s Artisans and Homestay in the Ziz Valley, we’ll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with a local women's group. By sharing skills and engaging in cultural exchanges, you become an agent of positive change, empowering these extraordinary women as they bring their artisanal products to tourist markets.

  • The spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco – Fez. Here, you'll find a city steeped in history, with narrow winding streets, ancient mosques, and bustling markets. Immerse yourself in the richness of Fez's cultural heritage as you witness local artisans at work, crafting intricate carpets, exquisite ceramics, and stunning leather goods. Engage with friendly locals, learning about their customs, traditions, and the vibrant tapestry of daily Moroccan life.

TRIP ITINERARY (subject to change as we work through the logistics of crossing and staying in the Atlas Mountains.)

Day 1 / Feb 26   Arrival in Marrakesh

  • Arrival at Marrakesh Menara Airport

  • Transfer to a comfortable riad on the edge of the Medina

  • Welcome dinner with traditional Moroccan cuisine and live music.

Day 2 / Feb 27   Exploring Marrakesh

  • Guided tour of Marrakesh's historical sites and medina by locals.

  • Afternoon cooking class to learn the art of preparing Moroccan delicacies.

  • Evening free for personal exploration of the Medina's bustling souks.

Day 3 / Feb 28   Marrakesh - Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

  • Travel to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

  • Guided tour of the famous Kasbah and its surroundings

  • Continue to Tamellalte and stay in a colorful local guesthouse with stunning desert mountains.

Day 4 / Feb 29   Dades Valley: Monkey Finger Trek - Merzouga

  • Hike the Dades Valley and explore its impressive red rock features and slot canyons.

  • Continue to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert

  • Start the Sahara Desert trek to a desert camp in the Sahara.

Day 5 / Mar 1   Sahara Desert Trek - Nomad Community Homestay

  • Continue the trek the Sahara Desert

  • Reach a nomadic community and experience their lifestyle and culture.

  • Stay overnight in their traditional home, enjoying their hospitality.

Day 6 / Mar 2   Sahara Desert Trek - Merzouga

  • Complete the desert trek and return to the luxury desert camp in Merzouga

  • Relax and enjoy the comfort and amenities of the desert camp.

  • Overnight at the luxurious desert camp amidst the dunes, with traditional music and stargazing

  • Evening at leisure, perhaps trying some local delicacies.

Day 7 / Mar 3   Merzouga – Ziz Valley

  • Depart to Ziz Valley, known for its large palm groves.

  • Arrive at the local community village.

  • Explore the fields and forgotten structures.

  • Meet and work with local women’s groups.

Day 8 / Mar 4   Ziz Valley Cultural Immersion

  • Engage in cultural activities like traditional music and dance workshops and craft-making with women artisans.

  • Guided hike through picturesque mountain trails, visiting local villages.

  • Enjoy a traditional feast in the evening with the locals.

Day 9 / Mar 5   Ziz Valley – Fez

  • Depart to Fez, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco.

  • Breathtaking drive through the Atlas Mountains, ski villages, and monkey kingdoms.

  • Arrive Fez. Check-in to a comfortable riad within the Medina walls.

  • Enjoy an incredible dinner in a traditional restaurant accompanied by music.

Day 10 / Mar 6   Fez

  • Full Day to explore Fez and the medina and all its hidden gems.

  • Evening Hammam Spa visit with a local guide.

Day 11 / Mar 7   Fez

  • Learn Traditional Geometry and Brass Engraving or a potential day trip to Chefchaouen, the blue city.

  • Farewell dinner with live performances showcasing Moroccan arts.

Day 12 / Mar 8   Departure

·       Transfer to the Fez-Saïss Airport for your departure.
