Since meeting my husband, Paco, in 2008 and visiting to his amazing home country of Cameroon, Africa, I have always wanted to make the journey back to work with his family on a project that would give back to his whole community. It has been almost 6 years since I have been there and it’s time for my family to return. After talking with Paco and spending some years researching what we would do and see in Cameroon, I started to realize that Cameroon is an incredible country. There are over 250 cultures, all the big safari animals including elephants, giraffes, hippos and even mountain gorillas, one of the oldest tropical rain forests, mountains, volcanoes, caves and waterfalls. The arts and handicrafts are some of the best in the continent with beadwork, woodwork, sculptures, painting, and textiles.
I soon realized what an amazing opportunity this would be to invite friends and family to join us on this incredible adventure.I would like to invite you to be one of the 8 people who will return with Paco and me to his native country of Cameroon as part of a volunteer service trip. This two week journey will go from March 22ndto April 6th, 2014. Please join us as we return to develop a plan for building a 100% philanthropic coffee house that would fund women’s education and health. We will be meeting with community groups, architects, landowners, coffee farmers, artists, musicians, women’s groups and more to make this dream come true. In addition, we will have the opportunity to visit the rainforest, mangroves, waterfalls, Campo Ma’an National Park for an animal safari, white sand beaches, and native villages for local art and cultural exchanges.Since the trip is very soon and we will all need to get our visa’s in advance please contact me as soon as possible if you are interested.
Please see the Cameroon Program page for more details.
